On 24 and 25 January, the 17th Fund Congress met in the Congress Center am Rosengarten in Mannheim for trade visitors from the investment industry. On two days, Germany's largest trade congress offered 6,000 visitors an attractive programme with more than 210 top-class lectures and an accompanying trade fair with 215 exhibitors.
MEAG's "Institutional Clients" sales team was once again represented with a stand at the fair this year. The numerous expert discussions focused on the MEAG MultiSmart, MEAG FairReturn, MEAG EuroErtrag and MEAG EuroBalance multi-asset funds and the MEAG EuroInvest and MEAG ProInvest equity funds.
Managing Director Anke Schaks is pleased: "For the first time this year, we offered clients the opportunity to talk directly to our portfolio managers Stefan Amenda, Dr. Michael Kerber and Thilo Schmidt about their funds in one-to-one meetings. This offer was actively used by both trade visitors and cooperation partners."
In addition to the direct discussions, MEAG portfolio manager Thilo Schmidt also gave a presentation on "An intelligent combination of contrary equity strategies". In this presentation, Thilo Schmidt used MEAG EuroInvest as an example to explain how a combination of procyclical and countercyclical investment strategies can achieve above-average investment results in the European equity market.
